Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946, into a poor family with 12 kids at one point, realized that she could escape her hardships through a imaginative mind. Before she learned to write and read Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own music. When she got her first guitar at age of eight, she started to play at radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. In the same year, Gold Band Records was an independent label. Although she was studying, she established a name for herself on the local scene. However, her goal was to to perform at a much larger scale. On the very day she graduated from high school, it was 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show required a new singer at around the time. Parton was hired in 1966, was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. It was not until 1974 when she made the decision to quit Wagoner's show because the success of her solo albums including Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene exceeded their collective efforts. After their split, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached Number. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Love You climbed to the No.
