Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. She is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish and English descent. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's ex-married partners. After living in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor-Joy said she was difficult and that she was unable to study English because she hoped to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she switched from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. When she was 16 she dropped out of school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actor from a young age.
