Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915 in Ogden Utah. Fawn MCKAY, born into the Mormon Church's First Family, utilized her writing talent as well as skills in researching to produce an intriguing psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 under the title No Man Knows My History, she used both. This title comes from a funeral sermon delivered by The Church of Latter-Day Saints' founder. My story is not known to anyone. The truth is I'm not even sure. Fawn (29 years old) said that, after her confessional moment, three-hundred writers have risen to the event. They do not have a lack of documents but they do contradict one the other. This is the task--sifting out personal testimony from third party plagiarism and fitting Mormon-and non-Mormon-narratives into a cohesive mosaic of reliable history. This is both exciting, as well as instructive. Fawn brodie was professionally dedicated to this task. Thaddeus Stevens. Stevens became immortalized through her work and the fruits of her studies. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. An intimate Historical Document (1974) as well as posthumously Richard Nixon.
